I like this idea because it allows teams that are rebuilding to move the process along more quickly by acquiring extra value from win-now teams who may have a lacking farm system but can add value via the draft. Likewise, when that rebuilding team is ready to compete they can pick up ML ready pieces via their valuable high draft slots without trading all the young players they've just developed.

draft pick trading is fun but it can be very damaging if a gm leaves a team with no draft picks, maybe there should be stipulations in place.

only trading 1st or 1st are protected, something like that.
