Holbrook Defeated by Salt Lake, 4-3
|
Starting pitcher Reginald Ward pitched well enough to help the Salt Lake Bees beat the Holbrook Hawks, 4-3. Earning the save was Paul Blankenship. He's now cashed in 32 of 35 save opportunities. The second-place Bees now have a win-loss record of 62-57.
Cristian Pache went 1-2 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Salt Lake. In the bottom of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Pache delivered for the Bees. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Salt Lake on top, 4-3.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Ward.
