Archer Dominates Stars in 2-0 Shutout Wednesday, June 21st, 2017 The Hollywood Stars struggled at the plate today against Flamingos hurler Chris Archer, who shackled them on 1 hit while hurling a complete game 2-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Stars skipper Len Whitehouse in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Archer finished the game with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," Florida manager Ozzie Guillen said. "Chris made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." This season Archer has gone 4-9 with an ERA of 2.94, posting 138 strikeouts in 107 innings.
