Walker Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, August 1st , 2032 Jared Walker has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 36-year-old Beaverton Dukes first baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-3 as Beaverton got the best of the Bellingham Orcas at Dukes Ballpark, 3-2. "Jared has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Dukes manager Steven Holquin said. Jared Walker singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th and struck out in the 7th. So far this year, Walker is batting .272 with 6 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
