Beaverton Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Saturday, September 11th , 2032 The Beaverton Dukes were paced by a strong offensive output from Craig Osborne as they downed the Long Beach Voyagers 3-2 to win the Round 1. Beaverton won the final game by a score of 8-7 at Dukes Ballpark to send themselves off to the Round 2. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said second baseman Osborne, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .400 with a .409 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Beaverton Dukes will play against the Santa Monica Surf in the next round. Santa Monica won their series against the Fresno Sun Sox 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
