Lynch Fires Shutout in Penmen Victory Saturday, September 4th , 2032 An efficient outing for Walt Lynch usually means a win for the Cape Girardeau Penmen and today was no exception. The 24-year-old right-hander held the Davenport Surge to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 14 and gave up 3 hits in the 7-0 shutout. "Walt really got it done out there today," said Cape Girardeau manager Matt Burke. Up to now Lynch has recorded a record of 4-14. In 28 starts he has fanned 157 batters in 175.1 innings with a 4.93 ERA. |
