Madrid on Fire, Strikes out 15 Canarias
Wednesday, June 30th , 2032
Everything was working for Alejandro Madrid today at Foxhounds Ballpark. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The curveball was working.

In an unforgettable performance, the 27-year-old Madrid fanned 15 Canarias and sparked the Santiago de Cuba Foxhounds to a 8-1 victory over Camaguey. He left Canarias hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.

"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Santiago de Cuba manager Dwaine Bacon. "His location and command were really something."

In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 8.1 innings, Madrid allowed 7 hits and 1 walk in a superlative outing.

"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Madrid said with a smile.
