Macías Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, August 24th , 2032 All game long, Matanzas's Juan Macías was rattling the walls at Matanzas Grounds and banging out base hits against the Moron Outlaws. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Astronauts had a 4-3 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old first baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Juan Macías flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, doubled in the 11th, singled in the 13th and hit an RBI single in the 14th. Macías is hitting .247 this season with 7 home runs, 33 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 283 at-bats. |
