How Sweep it Is! Park City Wins Round 2 Saturday, September 18th , 2032 The season came to a crashing halt for the Durango Admirals when the Park City Executive Run Producers beat them 8-2 today at Admirals Ballpark to sweep the Round 2 4-0. Fans in Park City have already begun the celebration, and officials are expecting huge numbers when the championship parade takes place in a few days. "Unbelievable for us, for our fans," an elated Executive Run Producers skipper Mike Bovee said. "This team has worked as hard as any team ever. They deserve it. What these guys have done, they're going to enjoy for a long time." This was the 17th championship for the Executive Run Producers. After the game, Durango manager Bob Howry was asked by reporters what it's like to lose in the Round 2. "You want the results to be different," he said. "They simply outplayed us, they deserve it. They beat us. They're the champions." Park City finished the season with a record of 52-16 and ranked first in the Rocky Mountain League Snowflake Division. |
