Abreu Hurls 5-0 Shutout Sunday, August 1st , 2032 Bryan Abreu shut out the Mobile Terriers 5-0 on a 2-hit masterpiece for the Biloxi Blue Wahoos at Terriers Stadium today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Biloxi skipper Jamey Wright said afterward. Abreu registered 7 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Mobile manager Edwin Almonte after the defeat. His record for the year is 6-10 in 20 starts and Abreu has a 3.63 ERA. |
