Sabathia Goes 5-for-5 Against Las Tunas Tuesday, April 12th , 2033 Punta Cana shortstop Tony Sabathia had a big day at Gibraltar Grounds today against the Las Tunas Lenadores. The 24-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the Firecats to a 14-3 triumph over Las Tunas. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Sabathia said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Tony Sabathia singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Joey Dillon in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. |
