Gallardo Bewilders Devilfish, 4-0 Thursday, August 26th , 2032 The Duluth Steelhounds shut out the Traverse City Devilfish 4-0 today behind the strong pitching of Carlos Gallardo. Gallardo surrendered only 3 hits in recording the complete-game victory. He registered 12 strikeouts and no walks. "Some days you just run into a buzzsaw," said losing manager Ryan Reid. Up to now Gallardo has compiled an ERA of 2.59 with a 6-2 mark over 4 starts. He has 52 strikeouts in 48.2 innings and has held opponents to a .254 batting average. |
