Big Day with Bat: Hurley 5-for-5 Thursday, July 22nd , 2032 Dan Hurley found his groove in today's game versus the Casper Bombardiers and wrote his name in the league record book. His 5-for-5 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Provo 89ers, as the club lost the game, 10-7. The 19-year-old center fielder told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked." "I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Hurley said. Dan Hurley singled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year Hurley is batting .284 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
