Bees Win Nail-Biter
|
The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
The Bees grabbed a win, 3-2, at Larry H. Miller Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Charleston pitcher Joseph Williams. Williams went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was Salt Lake reliever Paul Blankenship, now 4-2. The loser was Gareth Ballard.
Salt Lake won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Gareth Ballard on the mound for Charleston, third baseman Jorge Domínguez hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Bees fans to their feet.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Domínguez.
The win elevated the Bees to 42-42.
