Palo Alto Wins Lottery for RF Fyfe

Palo Alto officials presented their new right fielder Lou Fyfe today before a packed clubhouse of media representatives, agents and baseball officials.

The deal is worth an estimated $301,070,000, and runs for 7 years.

Lifetime Fyfe is hitting .306 with 310 doubles, 27 triples, 234 home runs, 880 RBIs and 713 runs scored. He has appeared in 1441 games to date and delivered 1688 hits.
Charleston Wins Lottery for RF de Goedere

The Rebels and Barend de Goedere reached an accord earlier today which brings the right fielder to town for 1 year.

de Goedere will pocket $3,130,000 total and is widely expected to contribute significantly to the club's playoff drive.

Checking out his career figures, de Goedere has played in 961 games with a .259 batting average. Among his 905 hits are 141 home runs. He also has scored 408 runs, stolen 35 bases and driven in 490 runs.
Veteran Pagan Agrees to 2-Year Deal

The Bees and Angel Pagan appeared before the Salt Lake media today as the two sides emerged from marathon contract talks.

Pagan, a center fielder, is poised to make $10,000,000 over 2 years.

Pagan is hitting .272 lifetime with 1195 hits, 217 doubles, 7 triples, 58 home runs and 392 RBIs to date. He has scored 526 runs, walked 278 times and has a .316 OBP.
