Steelheads Score Late to Upend Hawks, 7-4
|
The Seattle Steelheads picked up a win at Ballpark of Holbrook, knocking off the Holbrook Hawks, 7-4. On the mound for Seattle was left-hander Jorge Andrés, who played a pivotal role in the win. The save was credited to Nick Larsen, his 9th. The Hawks fall to 9-12 and continue their uneven start to the 2033 season.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Gabriel McCreely to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Steelheads on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Andrés. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
