Voodoo Fall Short, 3-2, at Portland
|
The Portland Sea Dogs topped the New Orleans Voodoo, 3-2, in Aaron Conference action at Sea Dog Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Portland pitcher Adan Frias. Frias picked up the win for Portland, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 17-4. Portland has now won 4 straight, while the Voodoo have lost 3 in a row.
Early in the game, left fielder Brent Morris had a bases-clearing double for Portland. It was his 36th double of the season and put the Sea Dogs on top, 3-0.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said New Orleans skipper Matt Wheatland.
