Thieves Score 4-2 Win Over Palo Alto
Ballpark of Palo Alto was the site of a competitive game between the Palo Alto Pranksters and Yellowknife Thieves.

The Yellowknife Thieves picked up a win at Ballpark of Palo Alto, knocking off the Palo Alto Pranksters, 4-2. On the mound for Yellowknife was right-hander Wilbur Meyer, who played a pivotal role in the win. Meyer got the win, improving to 10-11. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Meyer allowed 2 runs.

Yellowknife used a well-timed hit by Bubba Thompson to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Thieves ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

In postgame comments to the Yellowknife Bulletin, Thompson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Yellowknife, at 81-71, sits in 4th place in the Aaron Conference West Division.
