27-Game Streak Ends, James Hitless
Saturday, September 25th , 2032
The hitting streak that Oregon left fielder Stephen James had kept going for 27 games was ended today by the Seattle Steelheads. James was stymied over 4 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 2-0 victory at Seattle Grounds.

"Hitting streaks come and go," James said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."

James is hitting .321 this year with 17 home runs, 75 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 161 hits in 501 at-bats, 28 walks and a .364 on-base percentage. James has played in 134 games.
