Champions Advance to World Championship Series Friday, October 29th , 2032 The Pittsburgh Champions clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Portland Sea Dogs room was filled with despair and sadness after the Final Four Series concluded. "Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Juan Maldonado, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance. Pittsburgh won the final game by a 10-7 count at Sea Dog Stadium and the series 4-2. Portland manager Juan Done was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series. "They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said. For the series, Maldonado hit .385 with a .407 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Pittsburgh Champions will play against the Eden Prairie Landsharks in the next round. Eden Prairie won their series against the San Francisco Spartans 4 games to 2.
