Charleston Starting Pitcher April's Top Rookie Sunday, May 1st , 2033 The premier rookie has been named for April -- and the winner is Albert González. The Ruth Conference awarded the trophy to him today in a press conference. It was his remarkable 2-0 mark that brought the Charleston starter the Rookie of the Month award. González excelled last month with a 0.73 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 24.2 innings, fanned 27 and held opposing hitters to a .143 average. |
