McDaniel 5-for-6 for Hackensack Saturday, April 30th , 2033 No matter what the Simsbury Pioneers threw at him today, Eric McDaniel hit it. He easily handled Pioneers pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Crooners to a 9-1 triumph at Simsbury Fields. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of McDaniel's quip, Pioneers skipper Derek Andersen said he "would take him up on that next time." Eric McDaniel singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. For the season, McDaniel is hitting at a .239 clip with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and has scored 6 runs. He has 11 hits, 5 walks and a .308 on-base percentage. |
