When Jesús Zarate stepped into the batter's box, he meant business. His outstanding play this week has netted the New Jersey first baseman the well-deserved Tri-State League Player of the Week Award.

5-for-5 Game for Floyd

Toms River first baseman Mike Floyd had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Rochester Criminals at Ballpark of Florence as the Grays picked up a 8-2 victory.
"He was patient up there today," Toms River skipper Jude Voltz told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Floyd has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Mike Floyd hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
Floyd on the season is hitting .385 with no home runs. His stats include 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
